Councillor Ryan Brent, cabinet member for children’s social care at Portsmouth City Council, said ‘We need to recruit foster carers from all backgrounds, whatever your age, experience, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, marital or employment status, whether single or part of a couple, and whether you own or rent your own home.

‘The event offers an ideal opportunity for prospective carers to find out all they need to know.’
