Cycle event by QA Hospital team raises £5,000
THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised by a hospital team taking part in a 12-hour cycle event.
The neuro physiotherapy team, at Queen Alexandra Hospital, completed the challenge earlier this week and managed to raise £5,183. The Ride to Rio event was raising cash for a rehabilitation bike.
Staff members as well as former patients are holding cycle events to cover the 6,000-mile distance between the hospital and the Olympic games in Rio.
