The band were asked to raise this money by Ann Burton, as she has not long finished her treatment at the breast clinic.

Maria Noblet, consultant nurse at the breast services department, said: ‘This very kind donation will go a long way towards providing support to our Health and Wellbeing events, held three times a year at QA.

‘These events bring together many experts in the field of breast cancer who then educate and inform women in the post-treatment phase of their illness.

‘We’re very grateful to have been chosen to receive this cheque. It will certainly be put to good use.”
