Information event for people with breast cancer

PEOPLE affected by breast cancer can attend an information event run by a charity.

Breast Cancer Care is encouraging people affected by the disease to come along and get support.

Support During Treatment will provide information and support to patients who have been recently diagnosed about keeping well during treatment for breast cancer.

It will feature expert speakers giving talks and advice on maintaining health as well as offering information on support services in the area, side-effects during treatment and complementary therapies.

Cathie Mowatt, services development manager, said: ‘Having the right information is vital when you have breast cancer and this event will give women and men the specialist information and support they need when they need it, so they can get on with living their lives.’

The event is on March 16 at Wessex Cancer Trust in Eastleigh between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
