Learn about bone condition at Portsmouth event

PEOPLE with bone conditions can attend an information event on managing their condition.

The rheumatology department at Queen Alexandra Hospital is working with the Portsmouth and District branch of the National Osteoporosis Society to hold the next meeting.

Visitors will be able to ask questions as well as learn more about osteoporosis at the event on September 13.

Between 1pm and 2pm there will be a talk on broken bones. It will look at how bones heal after a fracture or break and why anyone over the age of 50 who breaks a bone may be at risk of the condition.

Between 2pm and 3pm, there is a session on healthy eating hosted by community dietician Richenda Rook.

The event takes place at the Link, Cosham Baptist Church, on Havant Road.

Admission is £2.
