In Spelthorne, Surrey, you will be welcomed by Lou Cobban and her team of CareAngels. Lou joined the Guardian Angel Carers family as a CareAngel in Chichester in March 2016 and in the Spring of 2018 successfully established our first franchise. Read her story here.

We are also pleased to welcome our new franchisees, Alex Duncan and Tim Corry, who following the Covid outbreak, have re-evaluated their career pathway, from ex-RAF and commercial airline pilots to finding their ‘Angel wings’ and will be launching Guardian Angel Care services in Farnham, Fleet and Farnborough in Spring/Summer 2021. Read their story here.

Community spirit

As a CareAngel family we look forward to compassionately caring for you and providing additional community-spirited and fundraising events in the year ahead. We are introducing pen pal links with primary schools, for our clients to help children with communication, plus virtual coffee mornings to reduce the feeling of isolation or loneliness.

As part of our Peace of Mind care and companionship service, we can assist clients to set up phones, iPads or computers, while observing social distancing guidelines. As always, just give us a call.

Following the fundraising success of our virtual Big Night In on Saturday January 30 – with DJs, a scavenger hunt and quiz - we have so far raised £845 for the charity Duty to Care, which supports the health and wellbeing of NHS staff. We wanted to support our colleagues in the NHS that care for us all.

Keeping everyone safe

During the challenging year of 2020, we have demonstrated that with ‘Angel wings’ and all the relevant PPE, training, guidance and team spirit, we have enabled our clients and those around us to stay safe at home. Our CareAngels have received their first vaccinations as part of the government strategy to vaccinate frontline workers and they test weekly for Covid. We continue to ensure that more clients and communities will benefit from our Guardian Angel Care services.

Making a difference

One of our CareAngels Sam Penery writes, “I was presented with the amazing opportunity to join Guardian Angel Carers in March 2020 at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. I cannot praise the company enough for the outstanding and ongoing training, support and guidance that is always offered to the carers. All carers are provided with the appropriate PPE, weekly Covid test kits, up to date government guidance along with any emotional support we may need in these difficult times.

“All the carers have great team spirit and we support each other under the guidance of the amazing cell team leaders. You know you are making a difference and it is truly wonderful playing a part in an outstanding company for our community.”

If you are interested in joining our compassionately caring Guardian Angel Carers family, or need help, advice, whether to be “‘cared for’ or to be an AngelCarer or Guardian Angel Carer franchise owner, where we would be by your side every step of the way, we would love to hear from you and welcome you to our family.
