Nurse nominated for award

A Portsmouth Macmillan nurse has been shortlisted for an award in recognition of her inspirational work supporting people affected by cancer in the area.

Wendy White – a lymphoma and teenage and young adults clinical nurse specialist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust – was nominated by colleagues in the Service Improvement Excellence Award category.

It recognises those who have developed services that greatly improve the experiences of people affected by cancer.

Wendy said: ‘I feel very privileged for having been nominated for such a prestigious award.’

A surprise celebrity guest will be hosting the awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on November 17.
