Nursing team prepares for Portsmouth diabetes conference

The Diabetes Specialist Nursing team, together with colleagues and volunteers from Diabetes UK and The Solent Diabetes Association, are preparing for the Annual Patients’ Conference.

The title this year is Spring Forward to Your Health with a number of presentations organised for the day.

As well as talks, there will be the chance for visitors to ask questions to a range of services and find out more on charities which could support them.

Karen Morton, a diabetes specialist nurse, said: ‘As a team we are really looking forward to the conference.

‘The day provides us with the opportunity to meet, share knowledge and gain a better understanding of how our community based-service can support people with diabetes.’

The event is on May 25 at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre, Alexandra Park, in Hilsea. It is on between 10am and 3pm.
