The Oncology Pharmacy at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham beat fierce competition to win the Pharmacy of the Year award at The News’ Best of Health Awards earlier this month.

The pharmacy works alongside the hospital’s oncology department and nominations said that its team ‘always go the extra mile’ to help patients.

Heather Cuell of the pharmacy said: ‘I’m feeling really shocked.

‘We knew that it would be tough to claim the award, but we are just so happy to get the recognition.

‘It really is an amazing feeling to just be holding the award and we know it would not have been possible without the support and gratitude of our patients, so we’d liked to say a big thank you to them.’

Chaudhry Pharmacy in Greywell Road, Havant was the runner-up in this hotly-contested category.
