Portsmouth group in need of volunteers to continue

VOLUNTEERS are needed to ensure a support group can continue.

Bipolar UK’s Portsmouth branch is holding a meeting next month to encourage people to get involved with them.

The Portsmouth Bipolar UK Support Group has been running for many years, providing support and advice to individuals affected by bipolar, their families and carers.

It relies on volunteers to help run its groups, organise tea and coffee, and help to arrange group activities.

But the Portsmouth group currently does not have enough volunteers and will have to close if nobody comes forward.

Their meeting is on April 5 at 7pm at the John Pounds Centre, on Queen Street.

Rachel Wolfendale, development officer at Bipolar UK, said: ‘We’re looking forward to meeting members of the Portsmouth community who are keen on ensuring the support group continues and thrives.’

Anyone interested in volunteering should call 0333 323 3885 or email [email protected].
