REVEALED: The best and worst waiting times for GP surgeries in your area

Nearly half of GP patients have to wait more than 15 minutes after their appointment time, The News can reveal.

Figures from the latest GP Patient Survey - which is sent out to about 1.36 adults nationally each year - show 41 per cent of patients in Portsmouth are left waiting more than a quarter of an hour for their doctor.

Patients are asked twice a year how long they have to wait for their appointment.

Last month we revealed that waiting times for Portsmouth were above the national average of 35 per cent.
