Southern Business Awards: Portsmouth firms take home prizes at prestigious eventÂ

GLITZ and glamour at the prestigious Southern Business Awards saw winners of each category celebrate in style.Â

Hosted by Spirit FM's Vicky Edwards at The Grand Brighton, the event saw more than 80 businesses across East and West Sussex and Portsmouth shortlisted for a coveted award.

The Mariott Hotel in Portsmouth took home the Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Award which was sponsored by Nisbits Catering Equipment. Employer of the Year went to Digi Tool Box in Fareham which was sponsored by HR Department Eastbourne.

Best Employee/Team of the Year went to Portsmouth-based LED lighting manufacturer Gemma Lighting.

Dunham Bush Limited in Havant got the Manufacturing and Construction Award.

Other winners from across the south coast included Pinks Vintage Ice Cream Vans and Tricycles in Chichester which took home the Customer Service award (sponsored by Barracloughs the Opticians),

From the same city Great Ballard School took home the award for Green Business of the Year (sponsored by Bright Spark Energy).

Now in their 18th year, the awards, sponsored by companies including Verisona Law and BAE Systems, culminate with a prestigious prize-giving ceremony on Friday, February 1, 2019 held in Portsmouth Guildhall.
