Southern Health support scheme for mums nominated for award
A SUPPORT scheme to help women with low moods or anxiety after giving birth has been shortlisted for an award.
The Knowing Me, Knowing You project, run by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, has been recognised in the Patient Experience category of the Positive Practice in Mental Health awards.
Alison Morton, head of nursing for children and families services at the trust, said: ‘This project has shown the difference that group support can make for mothers and their babies.’
The winner is due to be announced this evening.
