Spinnaker Tower to be lit blue for charity

THE Spinnaker Tower will be one of 50 sites in the UK being lit up to raise awareness of neurofibromatosis.

The Portsmouth attraction will be blue on May 17 for The Neuro Foundation which supports people with the neuro-genetic illness. The condition causes large tumours on nerve endings which can be disfiguring, painful and sometimes fatal.

Karen Cockburn, charity director, said: ‘We are delighted that so many organisations have chosen to support us.

‘It is so encouraging that attractions can stand up for all those affected by this incurable condition.’
