Spinnaker Tower lights up to increase awareness of illnesses

THE Spinnaker Tower will be lit in blue to raise awareness for chronic fatigue syndrome or ME.

The Portsmouth attraction will show its support for charity the Association of Young People with ME, which helps young people with the illness.

The tower will go blue on May 12 during ME Awareness
Week.

Mary-Jane Willows, chief executive of the charity, said: ‘CFS is still being widely misunderstood. This opportunity to raise awareness at the Emirates Spinnaker Tower is a real honour.’
