Staff from Portsmouth treatment centre nominated for awards

FOUR employees from a treatment centre have been nominated for awards.

The team from St Mary’s Treatment Centre, in Portsmouth, are through to the national finals of Care UK’s Healthcare Awards.

The awards are open to thousands of health professionals and administrators in services across the country.

Tracy Blackwood, Katie Towse, Charlotte Bentley and Louise Quirk, from the treatment centre in Milton, have made the finals and will see if they are winners at the ceremony in London next month.

Hospital director Penny Daniels said: ‘I am delighted the judges recognised the commitment and creativity of our teams in four categories.

‘To have so many people reach the finals is extraordinary and I am very proud of them all.’

Tracy, who manages the endoscopy unit, is nominated in the Unsung Hero category; Katie and Charlotte are nominated for Health Support Worker of the Year and Louise, the surgery patient services manager, is nominated in the Special Recognition category.

Penny added: ‘It is an honour to head such a talented and dedicated team and I wish them all the very best for success at the ceremony in London.’

The Care UK Healthcare Awards are being held on March 15.
