Waterlooville care home rated Good by CQC

A CARE home has been praised by inspectors for its caring staff and safe services.

Edenvale Nursing Home, in Waterlooville, was given a rating of good in a report published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

In an unannounced inspection, the CQC inspector saw staff treated people with dignity and respect and residents of the care home had personalised care records of a high standard.

In the five sections looked at, which asks if the care home is safe, well-led, caring, responsive and effective, it received ratings of good.

The report found:

n Residents felt safe with one saying: ‘All the staff are kind, I have no concerns.’

n There were enough suitably-skilled staff deployed to support and meet the needs of the people living in the home.

n Staff interacted with people who lived at the home in a caring way.

n People were treated with dignity and respect by staff and that their privacy was maintained.

The home, in Silvester Road, looks after 35 residents.
