Former News picture editor, the late David Lolley, took this picture in 1970 when Edmund Mills, then 72 and on the left, had been delivering bread in a handcart for Scott’s Bakery of Southsea, for 49 years.

On the right is Denis Walters. A mere stripling, he had been riding his trike-cart for only 22 years.
