Have your say

With the approach of the Queen’s diamond jubilee later this year, many of you will remember the parties you attended to mark her coronation in 1953.

Ed Hearn, from Southsea, dug this one out of himself and his friends celebrating the big day in one of the old navy huts at Tipner, Portsmouth.

Ed, who is third from the left, on the far side of the table (wearing a tie), lived in Tipner Lane, but he says most of his friends here lived in Somerville Place.

He can remember most of the names. They are (l to r, far side of the table): Ed Gauntlett, Ernie Lassiter, Ed Hearne, ?, Pamela Cleeves, ?, Gillian Lassiter, Sylvia Hibberd, Terry Murphy, Bobby Lassiter.

Front: Yvonne Boobier, Sylvia Oliver, Patricia Boobier, Monica Hill.
