A little fuzzy perhaps but here we see Portsdown Hill Road where it meets London Road. The George pub would be on the right behind the soldiers. 'Picture: Barry Cox Collection

Laurie Riglin wonders how many readers recognise themselves or relatives in this picture taken in 1959.

Laurie, of Southwood Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth, is standing on the extreme right beside the front row. It shows 577 Squadron Royal Engineers (TA) during the annual camp at Western Command Bridging Camp at Halton, Lancashire.

Laurie says the squadron was based at Burnaby Road, Portsmouth, now HMS Temeraire.
