Look at the happy young faces in this picture. These 11-year-olds had their lives ahead of them when the photograph was taken in 1956.
Today they are aged between 70 and 72.
The youngsters were pupils at Reginald Road Junior School, Eastney, Portsmouth.
Now, 61 years on, four of those former pupils are in the process of arranging a reunion. But when it happens depends on the response.
Organiser-in-chief, retired paramedic Derek Healy, says: ‘Our memories between us appear to be very good as we have amassed about 36 names, including teachers.
An earlier appeal on these pages has found some, but these are the names of others Derek hopes to track down: Stephen Gould, Gene Clements, Tony Martin, Ann Cousins, Christine Garrard, Brenda Chambers, Jennifer Fielder, Garth Woodhead, Brenda Norgate, Valerie Hoare, Margaret Woodison, Annette Booth, Michael Hockey, Stella Cousens, June Flagg and Roland Honeybunn.
Derek adds: ‘It would be nice to see how we have all managed to survive nearly 62 years since sitting in a classroom together. There must be lots to talk about...’
