On April 3 I published a picture of Regal House on Hayling Island and asked if anyone knew of it.

Norman Vaughan, who has lived on the island most of his 83 years, tells me the house was opposite the junction of St Leonard’s Avenue and Mengham Road.

It was called Regal House as the cinema with the same name was almost opposite. The building has long gone and the jewellers RJ Morris now occupies the site.
