Not some far flung island but Port Creek alongside Eastern Road, Portsmouth, earlier this week. I counted more than 50 plastic bottles along with other man-made filth.

In this photo we see the roundabout at Hilsea under construction circa 1970.

To the right of it is the recently-demolished Southdown bus garage and to the left what was the IBM building which is now the tax office. In the top right hand corner you can see the railway bridge over Port Creek.
