Next year commemorates the centenary of the start of the First World War or, as some insist on calling it, The Great War.

I see that Brussels and the European Union are trying to get in on the act and are now calling it the European Civil War. For crying out loud.

Children of the future will begin to think it was some minor infringement rather than an horrific four years of killing that changed the world.
