NOSTALGIA: The submarine that sank twice

Have your say

This picture of two lads standing in the rubble of Harley Street, Fratton, in 1967, brought back memories for Lynda Cartner (nee Perry).

She lived at number 37 from 1955 to 1966 and believes some of the rubble could be from her old ‘rat-infested’ block. Lynda remembers the shop on the corner as Drakes and the building opposite as Drings warehouse.
