THIS WEEK IN 1975: Props consortium could save groups

Have your say

This marvellous shot of Rowlands Castle station on the up side was sent in by 85-year-old Thomas Brown who worked on the railway for many years.

Two horse-drawn traps are there to meet passengers and the men, dressed as they are, might be heading for nearby Stansted House.

A sailor is there as they always were in these old photographs and also a stationmaster or porter by the wicket gate.
