Whenever I print photographs of trolleybuses silently whizzing around the city from Barry Cox’s book, I always get offered a few more.
So I include a couple for today’s page.
The first image above a trolleybus approaches Bradford Junction from Victoria Road North. The former Gaumont cinema closed then re-opened as a bingo hall, then closed and re-opened as a mosque. Note the three-sided shelter to the right.
The second picture shows three members of the Corporation bus company ‘The City of Portsmouth Passenger Transport Department’ have a break before setting off from the Hard to Eastney in 1961. Do you know who they might be?
