Not some far flung island but Port Creek alongside Eastern Road, Portsmouth, earlier this week. I counted more than 50 plastic bottles along with other man-made filth.

The unveiling of the Portsmouth Naval War Memorial by the Duke of York on October 15, 1924.

The memorial was put up by the Imperial War Graves Commission to commemorate the 9,700 officers and men of the Portsmouth Division who lost their lives in the First World War but had no known burial place.
