NOSTALGIA: Trafalgar dead remembered

Have your say

This was West Street, Portchester in 1937.

Although the basic shape of this row of shops remains similar, this part of the road is now pedestrianised.

West Street was once the main route for the A27 from Portsmouth to Fareham but the bypass now frees that part of the village from traffic.

Between the old road and the bypass a health centre and library were built.
