Warblington Station as it was

THIS WEEK IN 1978: A major set back in plans for Lively Lady

Have your say

Yes, believe it or not, this is Denvilles Halt now called Warblington station.

We are looking towards Havant and the train approaching from Portsmouth Harbour is being hauled by a Brighton Atlantic on its way to Victoria. It is some time between 1910 and 1927 as the head code boards have crosses on them. The locomotive was built at Brighton Works sometime between 1910 and 1911.

The level crossing is in Southleigh Road, which today is a very busy location close by Warblington school.

Thanks to Pat Kinsella for additional information.
