No, this warship pictured in Guildhall Square had not lost her way and sailed into the city centre on a particularly high tide.

The huge wood and plaster model, HMS Coronation, was built over the tram shelter and formed part of the Coronation Review held when George VI was crowned in 1937. After dark the illuminated ship was a wonderful sight.
