Have your say

These two photographs supplied by Martin Jenkins show an advert for the Miss Southsea Belle Show which was held in the summer months in the late 1950s and ‘60s. One lucky girl could win £100.

Does anyone know who the girl in the photograph is at all?

Or did you take part in any of the Miss Southsea shows? Do let me know.

The other photo is of the pier taken from the east beach with trampolines available for the children.

On at the pier was the Hugh LLoyd and Terry Scott Show. You may remember when they had a comedy television show called Hugh and I.

Can you imagine a comedy duo in this day and age coming to Southsea for a season, two shows a day for weeks on end? Definitely a thing of the past and it was only 1967.
