The anniversary celebrations started in the manufacturer’s home town of Maranello and the festivities have spread across the world.

This is a result of the popularity of the cars that started with the 125S, the first car to bear Enzo Ferrari’s name in 1947.

This first Ferrari for the road was built for racing and from there
has come the renowned modern supercar.

And electrification seems to be the future of Ferrari with talk of all cars being hybrid in 2019 in an effort to ‘cut emissions and fuel consumption’, chief executive Sergio Marchionne told Reuters last year.

He said the move would ‘yield additional performance’ and excite any car enthusiast with the prospect of a more powerful supercar.
