Reeds Rains lettings agents has announced the launch of a revolutionary new way for landlords to manage their properties more easily online with the added advantage of having information available to view at any time of day, and from any device.

Called the Reeds Rains Landlord and Tenant Portal the system aims to help landlords check the progress or current circumstances of their let online with information readily available about rental payments, outstanding maintenance issues as well as an array of useful information that landlords themselves have requested.

Charlie Edwards, Lettings Manager for Reeds Rains in Waterlooville explains: ‘Following months of development and ongoing consultation with landlords we’re delighted to see the launch of this cutting edge system. Not only will this provide a great way for landlords to manage their properties online – wherever and whenever they want to - but it provides greater transparency for all concerned with separate access available for both the tenant and landlord.

‘It means landlords, for example, will have full sight of information such as active tenancies, rents and account information, any ongoing maintenance issues and details of when last routine visits were made and when the next ones are due.

‘There’s also a section which provides up-to-date news about the lettings market – which can prove useful for future planning - as well as a section which contains all relevant documentation in relation to the tenancy – including the Tenancy Agreement - and which in itself supports landlords when, for example, completing their self assessment tax returns.

‘Overall we think the Portals should help reassure landlords and tenants that by being able to access this information themselves they are seeing the “full picture” and, in turn, they have a greater understanding of their particular position.

‘It’s fast, convenient and just what landlords told us they wanted and we’re delighted we’ve been able to deliver it to them - offering something other local agents probably can’t.’
