Hand sanitiser stations have been installed at both branches, and staff will be wearing masks and gloves – but masks are not mandatory for visitors.

Flip Out co-owner Richard Beese said: ‘With schools and leisure facilities being closed for so long now, it’s become increasingly difficult to keep kids active and healthy.

‘Now more than ever I think people can benefit from having a bit of fun and getting fit at the same time.’

At Flip Out Portsmouth, in 4 Harbourgate, Southampton Road, all jump sessions will be one hour and 45 minutes, with a 15 minute turnaround to enable the team to clean the arena and facilities.

All visitors must complete a new waiver before they arrive, and anyone taking part in a trampoline session must watch an online safety video.

The centre will also be hosting its After Dark sessions every evening from 7pm to 9pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

The Chichester branch, in Glemore Business Park, will see sessions last one hour and 30 minutes, with a 30 minute turnaround for cleaning.
