New research by FlowerCard has analysed baby name data from both the UK and US in order to discover how many babies have names inspired by a location. These are the 10 most popular baby names inspired by a location over the last two decades.

308,979 babies have been named after the US city.

Jackson also proves a popular baby name, with 231,193 babies named this.
191,755 babies have been named after the Texan city of Austin.
Sofia is also a popular baby name for girls, with 146, 174 named this.
Savannah is a city in the country of Georgia, but it also proves popular as a baby name, with 122,925 children being named this.
109,644 babies have been named after the Australian city.
102,253 babies have been named after the New York borough.
70,177 babies have been named after the location of Hudson.
Lincoln also proves a popular baby name, with 67,878 children being named this.
