We’re celebrating sausages and it is bonfire night on Saturday – so how about a few wines to drink with both sorts of bangers.
I tasted a selection from Debbie & Andrew’s Sausages (available from Tesco and Asda) and put some Spanish and Argentinian wines with them.
Cune Crianza 2008 Rioja (Majestic £9.99 and often on special offer) is a great sausage wine.
For a bit more bang with your banger, Errazuriz Max Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Aconcagua (Majestic £12.49) is a big wine with lots of cassis led fruit, spices and ripe tannins.
Top tipple
Errazuriz Estate Sangiovese, Valle de Aconcagua
This is the first sangiovese I’ve tried from Chile and I have to say this Italian variety works really well here.
