THE SECOND and final weekend of the Emsworth British Food Fortnight is fast approaching.
But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t still a banquet of brilliant events prepared over the next two days to bring the community together for a celebration of great local produce.
Students from Highbury College will be taking over the Brookfield Hotel’s Hermitage Restaurant for lunch today, while budding hospitality and catering staff from South Downs College will occupy the restaurant tomorrow.
Emsworth’s first beer and cider festival will open the weekend with the cheeriest of atmospheres on Friday.
Thirty British beers will be on offer alongside English wines and cider, and patrons will have the chance to meet the people behind the pumps in ‘meet the brewer’ sessions.
