Have your say

Sparkling and pink seems to be tradition of the day when it comes to Valentines, so here are a few to bring out the romantic in you.

Blason Crémant de Bourgogne Rosé (Waitrose £9.99) is really good value, made in the same way as Champagne, using mainly Pinot Noir. It’s a very pretty colour and is full of ripe summery red fruits. It would go well with sushi or make a perfect aperitif.

If the evening needs Champagne, then Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV (from £47.99 Waitrose) is currently drinking beautifully. From one of the great names of Champagne that’s still family-owned, this has creamy red fruits and savoury notes followed by a perfectly-balanced palate with a silky, velvety feel and lively finish. This is a classy Champagne to impress and maybe go with a starter of smoked salmon.

TOP TIPPLE: Cloudy Bay Pelorus Rosé, Marlborough

From one of the world’s most iconic wineries, even the bottle looks fabulous. Made from mainly Pinot Noir, this is a fairly recent release from the winery and utterly delicious. The nose has cherry and strawberry biscuits, followed by a beautifully-weighted palate and a mouth-watering finish. This is sure to win hearts! Majestic, £26.99 (two for £17.99 each).
