These boots were not made for walking – but for packing with Christmas presents. And they had proved an outstanding success for four enterprising business studies students at Cowplain School.

With an eye for the Christmas market, the quartet decided to form a mini company called Boots and Co to make furry red and white stockings for their course.

Pictured (l to r) are Sara Holloway, Nickie Foyle, Lisa Paginton and Tracey Hunt.

With Sara and Tracey cutting the fabric and Nickie and Lisa sewing, they were making a healthy profit to donate to charity.
