A GREEN-FINGERED couple will open their garden to the public in a bid to raise money for a worthy cause.

Liz Jones and Ian Craig will welcome visitors to their green space at the back of their home at 28 St Ronan’s Road, Southsea tomorrow.

The couple’s garden contains desert plants, a large display of tulips and a pond full of frogs, toads and newts,

The garden, which was newly planted in 1999, also includes an area where bananas grow. Entry costs £2.50 per person.

Visitors can also have a slice of cake and a cup of tea at an additional cost of £2. Money raised on the day will go towards The National Gardens Scheme, which gives funds to a number of different charities.
