SOUTHSEA GREEN: Preparing for a season of table top tales

I should be working in our community garden this week but our wonderful '˜garden angels' from Creative Advances have been in as usual with Faye to help water, weed, dig and hoe.

Unfortunately I have developed a ‘wonky knee’ from delivering hundreds of leaflets advertising the table top sales we will be holding at Eastney Community Centre on the last Friday of every month through until May.

The wonky knee hasn’t stopped me from getting ready for what I hope will be another bumper crop of raspberries this summer – the favourite part of my garden at home.

Confined to home, I’ve spent a few hours creating labels for my raspberry cordial, which is delicious on Eton mess or in fizzy white wine; cutting out rounds of pretty material and printing personalised labels for the jam and jelly I’m looking forward to. Roll on summer with scones and cream and raspberry jam. Visit eastneycommunitycentre.com.
