I’m so looking forward to the lazy, hazy days of summer when we can get out of bed and wander over the road to the beach knowing our band of golden gardeners has already been to the garden and filled the sink trays, fed the tomatoes and tucked up the worms with some tasty carrot peel for breakfast.
What a treasure of a team we have at the community garden these days and huge thanks to every one of them for the work they do.
Skills, we have thousands.
From fixing the shutters to capturing all the homegrown bloomability of all our city gardens, to concocting a recipe for hayfever from our own local honey. The list is endless...
Why not check our website southseagreenhouse.co.uk and social media or pop in to see us on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 11am until 1pm or on Sundays from 1pm until 3pm.
Don’t forget to bring us your surplus tomatoes, beans or simply plants you can’t keep, and we will swap them for something growing in the garden.
Or why not just come down to the garden close to Canoe Lake and sit for a while and soak up the sun?
