LETTER OF THE DAY: Camber walkway ‘pantomime’ could run forever

Have your say

Sarah, 31, from Southsea, recommends The Hunger Games on DVD, tapas at Nicholson’s and high tea at the tower.

Q: Got any trips away planned? Where are you off to?

I’m going to Mexico at the end of this month. I have always wanted to swim with dolphins and now I can.

Q: What was the last gig/concert/comedy show you went to?

Lady GaGa at Twickenham Stadium. She has a fantastic voice and the show was amazing.

Q: What about the last theatre show you saw?

Priscilla Queen of the Dessert on Broadway in New York at the start of the year. I won front row tickets in the Priscilla lottery. Most Broadway shows have a lottery. You just go to the foyer of the show that you want to see around 5pm and put your name into a hat for discounted tickets for that night.

Q: The last book you read?

50 Shades of Grey, which I did enjoy.

Q: The last film you saw at the cinema or on DVD?

The Hunger Games on DVD. I found it to be a very enjoyable futuristic adventure.

Q: What’s your favourite way to relax?

Having a glass of champagne in the tower’s Café in the Clouds. Watching the world go by is so relaxing and I’m not just saying that because I work there.

Q: What do you watch on TV?

I love EastEnders and anything with comedy in it: Miranda (pictured right), Alan Carr: Chatty Man and 8 out of 10 Cats.

Q: And which TV programmes do you avoid?

Programmes involving politics.

Q: Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with?

Eddie Izzard. He really makes me laugh.

Q: Where do you shop?

I love shopping in Waitrose. Pity I can’t always afford it.

Q: Where do you eat out?

Nicholson’s restaurant and tapas bar. I had my birthday meal there this year.

Q: What’s your signature dish if you’re cooking?

Lasagne. It’s quick and easy to prepare, then you just throw it into the oven and you can relax.

Q: What about pubs and bars? Where do you go?

I love Albert Road, Southsea.

Q: Where’s good for a day out locally?

Of course, a day out at the Spinnaker Tower! I recommend high tea in Café in the Clouds (pictured above) – an elegant afternoon tea high above Portsmouth Harbour with stunning views.
