You could be forgiven for thinking these two birthday girls are twins.

But in fact Amelie Frost and Annie Woodings are simply good friends with a lot in common.

First up, their birthdays are two days apart and they shared a party at Deverell Hall in Purbrook.

The five-year-olds also live two doors away from each other in Purbrook Heath and their parents moved in during the same week.

And finally, the identical party dresses in this picture weren’t planned, but an amazing coincidence. ‘We were at my house and I said to Claire – Annie’s mum – “do you want to see Amelie’s dress for the party?” She couldn’t believe it because she’d been out and bought the same one for Annie.’

There was no problem because the girls were thrilled to wear the same outfit.

Amelie, Annie and their friends played games, danced and enjoyed a magic show by children’s entertainer Silly Scott.
