Tomorrow is the beginning of Get Me Out of Here Commando survival training where you will be put through a series of activitites to see how you would fare.

All of the activities are aimed at children and they will learn how Royal Marines survived in a variety of real-life situations.

The training is from 10am-5pm and runs until June 1.

Tickets are £9 for adults and £4 for children.

On Monday the 1664 RM Challenge team will set off on a 1,034-mile run from the Royal Marines Museum.

The team will run through England and Scotland, passing through most of the major cities including Bristol, Exeter, Glasgow and Reading.

They will march from the museum to Canoe Lake where they will start their run. Over the 58 days the team will average 18 miles a day.

The event is free, however normal museum admission prices apply.

Finally there is RM30 Commando Action next Thursday, from 10am-5pm.

The Royal Marines are giving you the chance to see them in action and take part in a host of activities throughout the day.

Families will be able to watch the highly-trained specialists and display teams demonstrate skills that are needed in the Royal Marines.

There will be demonstrations including the Arena Combat display, a zip wire and an abseil off the museum roof.

You’ll also be able to watch a ration pack cookery show.

During the event there will be lots of opportunities for you and the family to take part in a range of activities. Some of these include laser quest, an assault course, Viking rides around the car park and trying on outfits.

You can also have rides on a Jackel, a weapon mounted vehicle, Special Service motorbikes, skidoos and a RIB boat.

There is a special Commando Five Mission Challenge where you will earn a certificate and a badge if you take part in the assault course, climb the 40ft wall, do laser quest, fold a T-shirt and take part in Bobby’s IED hunt.

Tickets: £10 for adults and £8 for children.
