LETTER OF THE DAY: Council tax rise? Pity my income hasn’t grown...

Have your say

Family and friends helped Doris Baker celebrate an amazing milestone in her life.

Doris marked her 100th birthday on Saturday January 7 and received a card of congratulations from the Queen.

A party was organised by her daughter, Sue Evans, and her grandchildren.

Doris has lived in Waterlooville and the surrounding area for most of her life and now lives at Saltmarsh House in Hayling Island.

A county bowler for many years, she played in many clubs in the area and was a member of the Waterlooville Bowling Club.

‘She was very grateful for all the gifts and best wishes,’ adds Sue.
