Sophia and Robbie Underwood had a fabulous time before Christmas when their nan Beverley treated them to some festive fun.

They visited Father Christmas at Greywell Shopping Centre in Leigh Park and then went to a party at Horizon Leisure Centre in Havant.

Beverley, from Leigh Park, says: ‘Every year the people of Leigh Park open a Christmas grotto in an empty shop. I always feel it is one of the best visits for the children. They are greeted by a snowman at the door, then they meet the elves and have a play in Santa’s sleigh while waiting for him. Then they are called into a room where Santa and his elves are waiting to greet the children by name.

‘The children are always amazed that Santa remembers their names. He gives the children a sweet, a badge and a present and we can take photos

‘It is really lovely and I really hope that they do it again next year.’

Sophia, nine, and 10-year-old Robbie also had a great time at the party where they played, danced and received another gift.
