A FOSTERING agency has launched a recruitment drive to combat a shortage of people who can look after vulnerable youngsters.

Foster Care Associates (FCA) South is looking to alleviate the carer shortage in the region and provide children with a stable family home.

Area manager for FCA South Sarah Dimmelow said: ‘Feeling safe and secure in a family is more important than ever. The shortfall of foster carers across the UK currently stands at 8,750.

‘We’ll provide you with in-depth training and we’ll support you 24 hours a day. All we ask is that you are over 21, have a spare bedroom and the determination to help make a lasting difference for vulnerable young people.’
