To keep children amused while parents enjoy an afternoon of racing, Goodwood is holding its final family fun day this Sunday, packed with free entertainment for the kids.

There is a big wheel, carousel, doughnut decorating and a circus workshop to take in – all free to children attending the race meeting.

The National Theatre’s War Horse will be there and you can meet Joey the puppet and see the likeness he has to a real moving horse.

Horse whisperer Kelly Marks, who works for the renowned Monty Roberts, will demonstrate some skills when she invites Joey and her horse into the pen to join her.

The day starts with the Charles Owen pony races at 1pm and 1.10pm. There will be eight full races.

Children under 18 get entry to the racecourse for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult. For ticket details call 01243 755055.
